Write for us
Genuine Concert Review welcomes clear, original pitches about concert listening, performance choices, musical interpretation, programmes, and the traditions that shape live music. Send proposals through the Contact page rather than submitting an unsolicited full article.
What makes a strong pitch
Start with a specific question a reader can follow: a musical choice, a listening distinction, a programme idea, or a useful piece of context. Explain the central point, why it suits this publication, and how you would make it understandable to someone without specialist training. A focused argument is more helpful than a broad promise to cover classical music.
A thoughtful approach
We value precise language, fair treatment of different interpretations, and a clear distinction between fact and personal response. Pitches should be original and should not depend on unverified claims, invented access, or promotional praise. Tell us about any relevant connection to the subject so we can consider it openly.
How to propose a piece
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option, then include a working title, a short outline, the intended reader, and any sources or examples you expect to use. Please do not send confidential material. A pitch is a proposal, not a promise of publication, and we will consider it on its merits.
Listen for the choices
A performance is made of decisions: some plainly heard, others felt in the music's pace and direction. We help curious listeners find words for both.
